Pamela Merker Moving’s General Terms and Conditions for Intra-US Relocation Services
At Pamela Merker Moving, founded in 2011 by James Allen, we are dedicated to delivering reliable and efficient intra-US moving services for families and businesses nationwide. Our General Terms and Conditions establish a clear framework for all engagements, promoting transparency, fairness, and mutual trust. These terms apply to services such as residential and commercial moves, packing, storage, and transportation. By engaging our services, you agree to these conditions. Should you have questions, our team is ready to assist.

1. Scope of Services
Pamela Merker Moving offers comprehensive relocation solutions within the United States, customized to your requirements.
Services may include:
- Professional packing and unpacking of household or office items.
- Secure loading, transportation, and unloading via licensed vehicles.
- Temporary or extended storage in protected facilities.
- Specialized handling for delicate items like artwork, pianos, or electronics.
All services are defined in a written quote or contract, which specifies the scope, schedule, and pricing. We reserve the right to decline services for prohibited items (e.g., hazardous materials, illegal substances) in accordance with federal guidelines.

2. Booking and Payment Terms
A non-refundable deposit (typically 20-30% of the estimated total) is required to confirm your booking. The remaining balance is payable upon delivery, unless alternative arrangements are made.
- Quotes: Estimates are derived from your provided inventory and may adjust if circumstances change (e.g., added items, access challenges). Binding quotes can be requested following an in-home or virtual assessment.
- Payment Methods: We accept major credit cards, bank transfers, and checks. Overdue payments will incur a 1.5% monthly interest charge.
- Cancellations: Cancellations 14 or more days prior to the move result in deposit forfeiture. Between 7-13 days, 50% of the total fee applies; under 7 days, full payment is due.

3. Liability and Insurance
We take utmost care with your belongings, but relocations carry inherent risks. Pamela Merker Moving provides:
- Basic Coverage: Released Value Protection at no additional cost (60 cents per pound per item, as per FMCSA standards).
- Enhanced Coverage: Full Value Protection available for an extra fee, covering repair, replacement, or cash settlement (minus depreciation) for lost or damaged goods.
Liability exclusions include:
- Self-packed items (unless proven negligence on our part).
- Undeclared high-value items (e.g., jewelry exceeding $500—recommend personal transport).
- Delays from uncontrollable factors such as weather, traffic, or acts of God.
We advise securing third-party insurance for valuables. Claims must be submitted within 9 months of delivery, supported by evidence.

4. Customer Responsibilities
For an efficient process, you agree to:
- Supply accurate details on inventory, access (e.g., elevators, stairs, parking), and any special needs.
- Properly prepare items (e.g., disconnect appliances, secure loose parts).
- Be available or appoint a representative during loading and unloading.
- Adhere to applicable state and federal regulations, including disclosure of restricted items.
Non-compliance may lead to extra charges or service refusal.

5. Dispute Resolution
Disputes related to our services will be addressed through mediation or arbitration in the state of our headquarters, governed by U.S. federal law. We strive for fair resolutions and welcome open dialogue.

6. Privacy and Data Protection
We value your privacy. Personal data collected (e.g., contact information, move details) is used exclusively for service delivery and safeguarded under relevant laws. Data is not shared without your consent, except as legally mandated.

7. Amendments and Governing Law
These terms are subject to updates; the current version is available on our website. Continued service use implies acceptance. All contracts are governed by federal transportation regulations and the laws of our operating state.
Founded by James Allen in 2011, Pamela Merker Moving has earned its reputation through trust and superior intra-US relocation services. These terms are designed to foster a positive experience. Reach out for a customized quote or further details—let’s facilitate your seamless move!
